As a five time medalist in Swimming I certainly understand the need to train and be coached and the concept of Passion. Unfortunately I did not know how to transfer those skills to my marriage. Satyen and Suzanne are "great translators"...translators of the heart, translators of the soul and in this day and age it is fair to say that we all crave great teachers who walk their talk and that sadly this is rare. Satyen and Suzanne are exquisite and rare. Rarely in life does one meet leaders who are real. On the one hand, Satyen and Suzanne are like Gurus- all heads turn when they walk in a room- they are mesmerizing, illuminating, almost intoxicating to witness. On the other hand they have kids, mortgages and I think they even have a minivan. This made it safe for me to show up, to grow, to heal, to soar.
On the first night of Sex, Passion & Enlightenment I knew I was home… home with teachers who have helped to unlock my closed heart, release shame and insecurity, show me how to attract a man of worth, how to shine without feeling afraid, how to be at peace with who I am, divorces, cellulite and all. The course is delicious, confronting, expansive. Never have I witnessed such a quick transformation of guys into Noble Men and gals into Glorious Goddesses. The level of purity, depth, humor and celebration is so freeing. I walked out feeling total permission to be ME. Delicious me. (grin).
I then took the Illumination Intensive. This one is harder to put into words. This is unlike any workshop I’d ever taken. I was able to stand in front of a room at the end to share without feeling any concern for another’s approval. All my feelings of judgment for others had dissolved. I felt so open that I was almost inside out, my heart was as wide as Life itself. I felt the power of every woman who had ever lived pulsing through me. I felt an honor for men in this noble way never before experienced. I felt free. And as I write this, that awareness has never left me. I’m always available to access it which allows me to relax, not control life or people, able to exhale when I normally hold my breath and belly and shoulders tight… the Illumination Intensive showed me there is another choice.

That’s a tall order for many folks. I thought I had an advantage, having been in many, many seminars, courses, education, service and more. Not so! It was a reminder that there is always more growth available! And it was a blessing on so many levels. The theme in all WarriorSage trainings comes down to being open and loving, in any circumstance. Wow!
Satyen is my friend, mentor and brother. He is an authentic, powerful and profound guide. I describe him to folks as a combination of drill sergeant, guru and goofball all rolled into one! Before WarriorSage, my life was good, my relationship was good, my career was good, generally, everything was “good”. My life looked something like a typical “New Age” experience. Good, yet not GREAT. What was really happening was that I was not dealing with my stuff or being my authentic self. My wife was resentful yet not hostile. The energetic spice was missing. I was not giving my gifts fully.

I attended my first Sex, Passion & Enlightenment after having to make first the decision to come and listen with undefended ears, because I was wary that I might be getting involved with a cult. Happily, the cult worry was quickly dispelled, and to this day has never been an issue. However, I was mostly deeply impressed with Satyen’s integrity, clarity of voice, and passionately unabashed enthusiasm for sharing with others the gifts of love and enlightenment. I was happy to take the invitation to enroll in my first Sex, Passion & Enlightenment weekend.
I am somewhat of a veteran of personal development retreats and workshops, and as a psychotherapist a purveyor of such. So, it was with a critical eye that I attended the Sex, Passion & Enlightenment weekend. I was not disappointed. In fact, I was impressed with the care taken to accommodate emotional safety, physical comfort, and rest. I appreciated the care that was taken to provide an aesthetically pleasing and enlivening environment. During the weekend, there was plenty of time devoted to serious personal growth work. However, there was also plenty of space made for having fun and being creative, and just relaxing. My heart-body-soul-spirit was rejuvenated and filled to overflowing with love, beauty, and truth. When I witnessed a potentially problematic a psychological situation that might endanger a participants emotional well-being, I noticed that Satyen, Suzanne, and the WarriorSage support staff mediated the situation skillfully so that no one was harmed, humiliated, or compromised, though everyone was challenged to reach for their growing edge as much as possible. I have consistently witnessed this in many other events I have since attended.
Since that first Sex, Passion & Enlightenment weekend, I have attended the WarriorSage Illumination Intensive, Living from Truth, and Living from Ecstasy events, and am delighted to be part of the Goddess Unveiled group. I have committed myself to the Path of the WarriorSage and often invite others to find out about WarriorSage events themselves, so they may become better lovers of themselves and others, so they may more productively serve their highest purpose.
I am particularly delighted with the Goddess Unveiled group that is offered as follow-up for women who have participated in the Sex, Passion & Enlightenment weekend. This work of honouring the deepest feminine mysteries is closest to my heart and is coherent with my own professional pursuits. In the 14 years I've been married I must have read a dozen books on relationships, seen five or six pastors and marriage counselors and my wife has left me three times. I love my wife deeply, but I've just never seemed to be able to understand what it is she wants.
